Mühlhausen (dpa / th) - The Unstrut-Hainich district is also tightening the corona rules and applying a curfew during the day.

A corresponding general order from the district office came into force on Tuesday.

Thereafter, the residents of the district are provisionally only allowed to leave their homes for valid reasons until January 10th.

This includes, for example, grocery shopping.

They are only allowed to stay on public roads, paths and squares with members of their own household.

Similar strict restrictions apply in the Eichsfeldkreis, where people have only been allowed to go outside the door during the day since Monday, also only for valid reasons.

The regulations in the two districts go beyond the Thuringian state regulations.

There is only a night curfew - from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

In the Unstrut-Hainich district, 442 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants were counted in the past seven days, in the Eichsfeld district the seven-day value per 100,000 inhabitants on Tuesday was 352 (national average: 273.6).
