In the middle of winter, the desert is cold and frozen.

At midnight, the temperature dropped to nearly minus 20 degrees Celsius.

At 23:44 on December 27th, with the "ignition" command issued, the Long March 4C carrier rocket rose from the ground, holding the remote sensing satellite 33 and the micro-nano technology test satellite. The orange flames from the tail reflected the Gobi Desert.

Subsequently, the satellite accurately entered the scheduled orbit, marking the successful conclusion of the 2020 space mission of the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

At 23:44 on December 27th, Beijing time, China used the Long March 4C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center to successfully put the Remote Sensing 33 satellite into its intended orbit. The launch was a complete success.

This mission is also the final battle of China's aerospace industry in 2020.

In 2020, the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center has implemented 10 launch missions and successfully sent 19 satellites into space; in addition, it successfully completed the search and recovery missions of the new generation manned spacecraft test ship return module and the Chang'e-5 returner.

Looking back on the course of the year, after New Year's Day at the beginning of the year, the scientific and technical personnel at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center were busy with the Kuaizhou-1A launch mission.

Rocket testing, satellite refueling, and joint inspection of satellites and arrows... On January 16, the Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket was ignited and launched according to the scheduled window and successfully deployed China’s first low-orbit broadband communication satellite with a communication capacity of 10Gbps-Galaxy Space The first star was sent into the scheduled orbit, and Dongfeng Astronaut welcomed the "good start" of the annual launch mission.

Just a few days later, the new crown epidemic broke out, and an unprecedented sniper battle for epidemic prevention and control broke out.

The Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center is located in the depths of the Gobi Desert. Although it is self-contained, there are more people entering and exiting the area around the Spring Festival.

The launch center focuses on epidemic prevention with one hand and task preparation with the other hand. In the case of low personnel presence and the test team cannot enter the field in time, it will carry out mission preparation and personnel training as scheduled.

No winter will not pass, and no spring will not come.

After an arduous struggle, major strategic results have been achieved in the prevention and control of the national epidemic when the spring is blooming.

At the end of March, the first test team ushered in at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center was the Kuaizhou-1A test team from Hubei.

On the basis of meticulously doing various epidemic prevention work, the launch site and the test team will rush to carry out various inspections and tests.

During this period, on May 8, the search and recovery team of the Launch Center successfully recovered the return cabin of the Chinese new generation manned spacecraft test ship launched by the Long March 5B carrier rocket at the Dongfeng Landing Site.

Half a year later, the search and recovery team moved to the Siziwangqi landing field for thousands of miles and successfully completed the search and recovery of the Chang'e-5 returner on December 17.

After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia, the majority of medical staff did not hesitate to go retrograde, and they did not bear the burden of trust.

On May 12th, it is the Nurse's Day. The Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket with images of medical staff and the words "Heroes of Wuhan, Great China" ignited in Jiuquan, and successfully moved Xingyun 2 with "one arrow and two stars" 01 /02 Star launches into space.

The "Wuhan" Kuaizhou-1A rocket was successfully launched, and the astronauts brought comfort and hope to the people in a unique way.

It is worth mentioning that a large number of young scientific and technological personnel have already taken up key positions in the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and directly participated in the overall work of rocket satellite measurement and launch, measurement and control, communication and technology.

On August 23 and September 21, the Long March 2D carrier rocket and the Long March 4B carrier rocket were launched in Jiuquan one after another, successfully sending the Gaofen-9 05 and Haiyang-2C satellites into their intended orbits. Scientific and technical personnel used practical actions to issue a youth declaration: "Give me the space battle flag, please rest assured!"

In addition to the "national team" mission, commercial aerospace is a part of China's aerospace. Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center has established a civil and commercial aerospace launch team based on the profound background and mission of the national launch site.

On November 7, the Ceres-1 commercial carrier rocket successfully flew for the first time, successfully sending the Eleven Stars of the Apocalypse Constellation into the scheduled orbit.

In the future, there will be more civil and commercial aerospace companies here to realize their dreams.

This year, China Aerospace will start the "Super 2020" model, and next year the China Space Station mission will enter the full implementation stage.

At present, the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center has completed part of the manned space launch site's technical renovation and facility equipment maintenance and inspection work, and various preparations are being carried out in an orderly manner.
