Oberstdorf (dpa) - The Four Hills Tournament starts without the Polish defending champion Dawid Kubacki, Olympic champion Kamil Stoch and his teammates.
After a positive Corona test by Klemens Muranka, the entire ski jumping team was withdrawn from the competition, as the organizers announced on Monday, a few hours before qualifying for the opening competition in Oberstdorf.
Muranka was previously positive in series testing in the Allgäu, as he himself had confirmed on social media.
"I'm sorry, but it happened ... I'm positive and so far without symptoms," wrote the 26-year-old on Instagram.

In Stoch and Kubacki, two co-favorites are therefore eliminated before the first competition.
In addition to the two top jumpers and Muranka, Piotr Zyla, Maciej Kot, Aleksander Zniszczol and Andrzej Stekala were scheduled for the tour.
Depending on how further tests turn out, it is possible that the Poles will return to the tour at a later date.
But after missing the start, they no longer have any chance of an overall victory.
Poland's sports director, former ski jumper Adam Malysz, said: “We had a test two days ago and all the results were negative.
It is strange."
In the first third of the season there had already been a few corona cases in the ski jumping World Cup: In addition to the German flight world champion Karl Geiger, the Austrians Stefan Kraft and Michael Hayböck and their trainer Andreas Widhölzl were also infected.
But everyone is back for the tour.
