The news year 2020 has been dominated by the surveillance of the corona pandemic.

It has been both fast and in-depth reporting.

It has been a lot about numbers, but we have also described the pandemic up close.

We visited the intensive care unit in Lund.

We investigated the extensive outbreak of covid at the Valltorp nursing home, where almost half of the residents died.

We have had by far the longest direct reporting with our corona chat.

Thank you to everyone who has been there and contributed!

News that has had an impact

But we have also had other news that has had an impact.

The revelations we made together with Assignment review regarding Region Skåne's procurement of a digital care tool led to the region hitting the brakes and at the time of writing, five people are suspected of bribery.

The news about the new medical record system within Region Skåne meant that the region paused the transfer of patient data to an American company.

We reported on a broker at the company Bjurfors who did not inform interested buyers about shortcomings even though he knew about them.

Here you meet the couple who were cheated by the broker:

This Christmas weekend, we have published our survey of criminal networks in Helsingborg.

Permanent editorial office in Kristianstad

We have produced news that gives hope and joy.

The miracle in Sövdesjön gave a visibility depth of seven meters.

Helene Olsson bakes cinnamon buns three times a week and drives them out to the care staff in Ängelholm, Helsingborg, Höganäs and Åstorp.

It has been the year when we celebrated that SVT Nyheter Helsingborg turned five years old and that SVT Nyheter Skåne, as SVT's first local news program, turned 50 years old.

Now it is clear that we are permanent our editorial office in Kristianstad.

The experiment has been successful because it gives us better surveillance in northeastern Skåne.

The inauguration, which would have been in November, we have had to postpone due to the corona.

In 2021, we will continue to strengthen the range of our own news, such as you will not find anywhere else.

We want to contribute to diversity - all so that you get as many perspectives as possible on the present.
