The Niamey offices closed and the counting began simultaneously.

Calls for peaceful elections were probably heard and voters came out en masse to exercise their civic duty, in several schools and colleges.

The same observations are made by international observers, in particular those from ECOWAS.

The head of this mission, Mohamed Namadi Sambo praised the peaceful climate of the elections.

The same crowds were observed inside the country where several candidates voted in their fiefdoms.

It is the first time that a significant number of candidates vote in their native region.

On the side of the Ceni it is the commotion of combat from this Sunday evening, the large room of the convention center receives all the technicians of the Ceni, the office, the observers, and other journalists accredited for the election night .
