Dresden (dpa / sn) - The volleyball women of the Dresdner SC have made a perfect start to the second half of the Bundesliga.

Coach Alexander Waibl's team won 3-0 (26:24, 25:15, 25:20) in the home arena on Sunday and impressively returned the favor for the 3-0 defeat in the first leg.

With the fifth win in a row, the Elbe city women also continued their successful streak and consolidated their second place in the table.

After a strong start by the hosts, who were tactically very well prepared, a match developed in the first set.

Both teams fought long and exciting rallies.

In the tight final phase, a double change for the Dresden women provided a fresh impetus.

The DSC fended off two opposing set balls and then used the first chance themselves.

In the second round, the second in the table clearly dictated the action with a powerful serve and variable attack game as well as a strong block defense.

In the third section, Guillermo Hernandez's protégés again offered more resistance.

In the crucial phase, however, they made too many mistakes, while the hosts played their game very stable.

After 78 minutes, Jennifer Janiska converted the first match point.
