Mainz (dpa / lrs) - In Rhineland-Palatinate, the first corona vaccinations will start this Sunday.

Prime Minister Malu Dreyer and Health Minister Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler (both SPD) accompany the vaccination start (10:00 a.m.) in Koblenz in the Maria vom Siege nursing home.

In accordance with the requirements of the federal government, people in Rhineland-Palatinate who have a very high risk of getting seriously ill or dying from the coronavirus are initially vaccinated.

In a first step, this should be done via mobile vaccination teams in inpatient care facilities.
