China News Service, Phnom Penh, December 27 (Reporter Ouyang Kaiyu) The Cambodian Ministry of Health reported on the 27th that Cambodia notified one new confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia on the same day, and one new case was cured and discharged.

Prior to this, Cambodia had no record of new cases for 5 consecutive days.

The new cases on the 27th were imported from abroad. A 43-year-old Indonesian male was diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia after arriving in Cambodia from Singapore on December 25.

The nucleic acid test of 50 passengers on the same plane was negative and they were isolated in two hotels.

Although the epidemic is easing, Cambodian officials still insist on strict prevention and control.

The Cambodian Ministry of Health requires that in order to effectively curb the spread of the new crown epidemic, the Ministry of Health prohibits private hospitals and clinics from admitting suspected patients with new crown pneumonia.

The Ministry of Health of Cambodia stated that if a patient develops suspected symptoms of new coronary pneumonia, private hospitals or clinics must refuse treatment, immediately notify the health department, and send the patient to a government hospital.

All private hospitals and clinics must provide masks, alcohol or hand sanitizer.

If a patient with suspected new coronary pneumonia goes to the consultation, the room must be disinfected immediately.

The Ministry of Health of Cambodia stipulates that medical waste must be classified and disposed of strictly, with eye-catching yellow trash bins marked with special warning signs for medical waste, and hospitals must incinerate medical waste suspected of carrying the new crown virus in an 800-degree incinerator.

As of the morning of December 27, a total of 364 cases have been confirmed in Cambodia, 356 cases have been cured, and 8 cases have been treated in the hospital.
