The executive director of the medical services sector at the authority, Dr. Farida Al-Khaja, told «Emirates Today» that the protocol followed for the process of taking the «Pfizer» vaccine, includes «registration and completion of procedures by answering specific questions, to determine the suitability of the person to take the vaccine.

The procedures include obtaining a text message with directions and advice (if the criteria are met), with the need to make sure to read the acknowledgment form, register upon arrival at the center, undergo a vital signs examination and sign the consent form.

Then comes the stage of taking the first dose of the vaccine, followed by waiting for 20 minutes to observe, in anticipation of any side effects, and then leave the center.

Then the person gets a short text message with the vaccination certificate, the date of the second dose (after 21 days), and about whether the Chinese vaccine recipients can get the Pfizer vaccine. Al Khaja said that the available scientific evidence does not recommend combining two different types of vaccines. .

Regarding the period that those recovering from "Corona" need to receive the vaccine, she confirmed that they will be able to obtain it three months after infection.
