During the autumn and winter, about 40 trees in Malmö's parks have been subjected to similar damage.

The police investigation service in the South region is not aware that a police report has been made about the latest damage.

When SVT Nyheter Skåne visited the cemetery on Saturday, we found about 30 damaged trees.

Several people who passed were cursed and thought the damage was unnecessary and insane.

It looks like someone has peeled or chopped off the bark from the tree trunks.

Not investigated by police

Press spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist says that the police generally do not prioritize investigating vandalism.

- It is sad when you commit vandalism in such a place, but vandalism in itself is a crime with a lower penalty scale.

There is nothing we will put any extra resource into.

We have not done anything special to be able to prosecute it, it is very difficult to know when it will happen next time in a city like Malmö, says Lundqvist.

SVT Nyheter has searched for the city of Malmö.
