On February 9, a woman in her 70s was found dead after an apartment fire in Arvika.

According to the police, there was no suspicion of crime.

A man in his 50s was badly burned and he died several months later from the injuries according to the police.

A preliminary investigation into the arson was initiated, but it has been closed as no cause of the fire has been identified.

On May 3, a woman is found lifeless by smoke divers at an apartment fire in Kristinehamn.

She dies and the police suspect murder, but after some investigation, there is no indication that any crime has been committed.

On May 5, a dead person was found in a burned-out car on highway 62 at the height of Stodene in Karlstad.

A preliminary investigation into the murder was initiated, but later that suspicion was weakened and most indicate a case of illness or accident according to the police.
