Britain, where a mutant virus was found before South Africa, surpassed 70,000 deaths today (26th).

It is the second most fatality in Europe after Italy.

The UK mutant virus, which is known to be more highly infectious, has already been confirmed in neighboring Europe and the Middle East, as well as in Hong Kong and Singapore in Asia.

In Japan, which is close to us, a person infected with a mutant virus originating from the UK came out.

This is news, correspondent Yoo Seong-jae from Tokyo.

have been 7 cases of mutant coronavirus from the UK discovered in Japan so far.

Men in their teens and 60s who entered Tokyo Haneda Airport from the UK on the 18th and 20th, men and women in their 40s and children under 10 who entered Osaka Kansai Airport on the 23rd.

Japan's Ministry of Health and Welfare said the infection was confirmed at the airport and immediately quarantined at an accommodation facility.

man in his 30s who entered the UK on the 16th was confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus. That person's family member in Japan tested positive, making it the first case of infection by a Japanese without a history of staying in England.

Since then, the Japanese government has blocked foreign entry from the UK, and from today, South Africa has also been added to the list of countries denied entry.

In addition, Japanese citizens returning from this area were quarantined for three days, then tested, and even if there was a negative sound, they decided to request home quarantine for an additional 10 days.

In the midst of this, the spread of corona in Japan is seldom declining.

Yesterday, 3,831 new infections were confirmed across Japan, recording the highest record for three consecutive days, and the highest number of deaths at 64.

Today, in Tokyo alone, there were 949 people with the largest number of confirmed cases so far.

As we enter the holiday season, the fear of infection spreads even more.
