This is the first Corona 19 vaccine to enter Korea, and we are interested in whether KATUSA Soldiers and Korean employees in the USFK will also be targeted.

FedEx aircraft flight FX5230 departing from Memphis, USA, landed at Incheon Airport Cargo Terminal.

The first shipment of Moderna's Corona 19 vaccine, delivered by the U.S. Department of Defense for the U.S. Forces Korea vaccination, has arrived.

Although it is intended for USFK use, this is the first time that the Corona 19 vaccine has entered Korea.

It is known that the USFK will transfer the vaccine to Brian Allgood Hospital at Camp Humphreys Base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, and start vaccination as early as next week after the Christmas holidays.

The commander of the USFK commander has suggested standards and targets that the first targets are front-line health care personnel and emergency personnel, and that'all qualified USFK community officials' can receive vaccinations according to the amount of vaccine.

Therefore, more than 40 KATUSA soldiers working at the hospital and Korean employees are also included in the vaccination targets, but it is not known whether this will occur.

As the US Department of Defense has announced that it will supply 975 vaccine doses at a time to 16 domestic and foreign military facilities, the amount of imports is limited.

In addition, for KATUSA Soldiers and others to get the vaccine in the United States, consultation with the SOFA subcommittee is required, but such administrative procedures remain.

If vaccination is done before the government’s introduction of the vaccine, among them, Koreans may be the first to receive vaccination.
