This Friday, December 25, is the last day of the campaign in Niger.

The thirty candidates have until midnight to convince 7.5 million voters before the presidential and legislative elections on Sunday.

The thirty candidates have until midnight to convince 7.5 million voters before the presidential and legislative elections on Sunday.

The competing parties therefore organized their last campaign events.

In Niamey, there is scattered entertainment, but no big meeting this Friday.

The meeting that was planned in the large stadium of Niamey for Mohamed Bazoum, candidate of the ruling party, the PNDS, was canceled, because of the Covid-19.

Several political groups, such as the MNSD of Seyni Oumarou or the Kishin Kassa of Ibrahim Yacouba, on the other hand, have planned caravans, or the distribution of flyers.

had called on its activists to

meet

Hama Amadou at the airport to accompany him to Kollo, where a meeting was scheduled.

Hama Amadou, whose candidacy was invalidated by the Constitutional Court, gave his support to former President

Mahamane Ousmane

.

The RDR candidate Tchandji also received another support this Friday: that of Amadou Boubacar Cissé.

The candidate of the UDR Tabbat party withdraws, and calls on his activists to vote for Mahamane Ousmane.

The three parties: UDR Tabbat, Moden Fa Lumana and RDR Tchandji are part of the same Cap 20/21 coalition.

There are therefore only 29 candidates left in the running, instead of 30.
