Loud explosion in Nashville.

Images that are cold in the back… A strong explosion rocked this Friday morning the center of Nashville, in Tennessee, an act which seems “deliberate”, according to the police of this city in the south of the United States.

The explosion took place at 6.30 a.m. on Christmas morning, causing extensive damage to the facades of surrounding buildings.

Trees were uprooted and at least two vehicles, one of which police said was linked to the explosion, caught fire.

This appears to have been an intentional act.

Law enforcement is closing downtown streets as investigation continues.

The blast was felt for several kilometers around.

It "appears to be a deliberate act," police said on her Twitter account.

At least three people were slightly injured and taken to hospital, according to firefighters quoted by media.

The explosion took place in the north of downtown near the AT&T Tower, an iconic building in the country music capital, nicknamed "Batman Tower" because of its shape.
