Ireland detects a case of a new strain of COVID-19

“I can confirm that we have discovered a new British variant of SARS-CoV-2,” Holohan is quoted by the Irish Independent.

Earlier, the WHO reported that a new strain of coronavirus was found in eight European countries. 

As stated by the WHO representative in Russia Melita Vujnovich, this mutation is insignificant and does not affect the effectiveness of drugs for COVID-19.
