"The Governor of Primorye signed an order to postpone the working day from December 31 to December 26 for employees of the executive branch, the government and the governor's office, civil servants, as well as employees who fill positions other than civil servants in Primorye," the statement says.
It is noted that the authorities recommend to the heads of organizations in the territory of the region to organize working hours at their enterprises in the same way.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin recommended that the heads of Russian regions make December 31 a day off.
On December 21, Nevskie Novosti reported that December 31 had been declared a day off in St. Petersburg.
