Boris Johnson confirms "an agreement" with the European Union

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed Thursday that a post-Brexit trade agreement has been reached with the European Union, saying on Twitter that "it is agreed."

Johnson, who scored a landslide victory in last year's election over his pledge to "get Brexit done", posted a picture of him celebrating.

In turn, International Trade Minister Lise Truss said the agreement would lead to a "strong trade relationship" with Brussels and other partners around the world.
