Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The AfD has again received the most reprimands and calls to order in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament this year.

The tone of the debates has worsened, said State Parliament President André Kuper at the request of the German Press Agency.

The AfD was by far the most noticeable with 13 complaints.

The SPD (4) landed in second place, followed by the Greens (3), the CDU (2) and the FDP (1).

Representatives of the state government have been reprimanded six times.

Especially for the year of the corona pandemic, the following applies: "Parliaments make far-reaching decisions and the dispute about the right way to deal with the pandemic belongs in parliament," emphasized Kuper.

Nevertheless, the order and dignity of the state parliament must be preserved.

Insults and fecal language are considered «unparliamentary».

Rügen remained without further consequences.

Calls to order, on the other hand, marked gross violations.

Anyone who collects three calls to order at once can be withdrawn from the floor.

So far, this has only happened twice in the history of the NRW state parliament.

This year, representatives of the AfD (1), the SPD (1) and the FDP (1) were noticed by such rough behavior and were reprimanded with calls to order.

Among them were statements like "You really belong in psychiatry!"

or «Do I really have to say« Quiet, Brauner »again?».

In the past few years, the number of reprimands and calls to order has increased enormously.

During the current 17th electoral period, there have been 87 reprimands and calls to order.

In the entire 16th electoral term there were only twelve, in the 15th term only nine.

In the current electoral period, the AfD has secured its place at the top of the list of inglorious behavior since 2017 with a total of 45 reprimands and calls to order, followed by the SPD (15), the state government (11), the Greens (5), the CDU ( 4), the FDP (3) and the non-attached MP Marcus Pretzell (2).
