The State Duma adopted a law on the recognition of individuals as foreign agents for political activity

According to the initiative, individuals who receive foreign funding for political activities are recognized as foreign agents.

Unregistered political NPOs with foreign funding can obtain a similar status.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fedorov proposed to recognize NGOs as foreign agents, whose founders or leaders receive funds from foreign sources.
