On Wednesday, the Norrbotten Region reported that another four people had died in covid-19.

They are all between the ages of 78 and 87, but Nystedt cannot currently say whether they lived in a special accommodation or not.

- We have not had time for an interview about where they were or lived.

Norrbotten against the current

The infection control doctor Anders Nystedt thinks that the people of Norrbotten have been good at keeping the restrictions recently and thus reduced the spread of infection after the peak in November.

- If you compare with other regions such as Skåne and Gävleborg, they have three times as large infection rates as Norrbotten has.

Norrbotten residents have gone against the flow and the number of infected people has decreased.

They have coped well with the restrictions.

Still urges everyone to keep their distance

Despite this, Nystedt believes that one should still think about the distances and restrictions.

- It is good to have fewer infected people, but you should not say hello.

There are 25 in hospitals with covid-19 and the number of infections is still high.

It is still important to keep two meters away so you or someone else does not infect you.

Nervous before the Christmas sales

Anders Nystedt, infection control doctor at the Norrbotten Region, is still worried about the Christmas holidays and sales.

- You will meet people and shop on sale, and if you do not keep two meters away, it can increase the number of infections again.
