Munich (dpa / lby) - The curriculum for Bavaria's students should be streamlined after the presentation of the largest teachers' association in the Free State due to corona.

"Furthermore, other binding curriculum content that is the subject of the final exams must be deleted promptly," demanded the Bavarian Teachers' Association (BLLV) on Wednesday in Munich.

"In addition, the individual schools that have been particularly hard hit by the measures to contain the pandemic must be given the right not to have to take responsibility for checking all content that has not been dealt with."

How final examinations for the qualifying degree of secondary school, the secondary school leaving certificate or the Abitur must be structured should be clearly regulated by law.

Every school is affected differently by Corona - therefore different concepts are needed.

"A mere postponement to reduce pressure and stress for everyone involved is by no means sufficient here," said the BLLV.

Because of the still unforeseeable consequences of the Corona crisis for the current school year, Minister of Education Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) announced on Monday that the number of exams could be reduced at secondary schools and high schools.

If necessary, proof of achievement should be readjusted flexibly depending on the school type.

According to the BLLV, modularized individual support offers should try to at least make up for the current educational injustice among children.

"It must not be that the pupils suffer disadvantages in the following school years, which result from the learning backlogs caused by alternating and distance lessons or quarantine absenteeism," said association president Simone Fleischmann.
