After the historic landing of the very first direct flight between Israel and Morocco, a moment of meditation in the royal tomb, where the late sovereigns Mohammed V and Hassan II, two very popular figures in Israel lie, the delegation was then received by King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Rabat.

A long awaited moment.

The King received Jared Kushner, Meir Ben-Shabbat, National Security Advisor of the State of Israel and Avraham Joel Berkowitz, Special Assistant to Donald Trump.

The Moroccan sovereign congratulated Jared Kushner for the work accomplished since his visit to Morocco in 2018, which made it possible "

to achieve this historic turning point in favor of the territorial integrity of Morocco and this promising development for peace in the Middle East

 " .

A joint tripartite declaration was then signed, in which the United States recognizes

Moroccan sovereignty in the Sahara and where Morocco

undertakes to resume its relations with Israel.

The kingdom will therefore authorize direct flights between Morocco and Israel but also reopen the liaison offices between Rabat and Tel Aviv, over the next two weeks.

Several agreements have also been ratified between the two countries, they mainly concern economic, security, technological and agricultural cooperation.

Morocco wants to strengthen its military capacity
