Reims, initially irresistible before being tossed without too much damage, achieved a good accounting deal on the Bordeaux field (3-1) once again cyclothymic on Wednesday, on the occasion of the 17th day of L1.

For the men of David Guion, there was this brilliant blow in Montpellier (4-0) quickly reduced to ten, then to nine.

There will now be this trip to Gironde, and this first act not far from being a reference for lively, well-organized and realistic Champenois with a logical lead in score at the break (2-0).

After their victory over Nantes (3-2) and their solid draw brought back from Marseille (1-1), this good period is welcome for the Rémois who doubted at the beginning of December.

For the Girondins, the days go by but are not alike.

Or a little.

Capable of externalizing themselves in Rennes (0-1) or Strasbourg (0-2), their deficiencies in playing the game have again come to light, as against Montpellier (0-2) or Saint-Etienne (1-2) ).

This Wednesday, they went from nothing to domination in possession, but too long sterile to reverse the deal.

And could not end two series that weigh on them.

First the one against Reims, their oldest pet peeve who has refused to them in L1 for almost 43 years.

Then these 703 days passed without ever having been able to string together two straight victories.

From the start, the intentions were mainly visitors, with cons each time dangerous with often originally the untenable Arbër Zeneli, kicker from the corner bringing the opening scoring of Yunis Abdelhamid (15th), and originally Boulaye Dia's second goal with this strike pushed back by Benoît Costil in the feet of his center forward who had followed well (18, 0-2).

Jean-Louis Gasset's men waited for the return of the locker room to finally come out of their torpor, without the efficiency required to return to the image of this insane failure of Ui-Jo Hwang (54th), alone two meters from the goal of Predrag Rajkovic who had just repelled a free kick from Hatem Ben Arfa, who sent the leather into the turn.

The South Korean made up for it on an offering from Ben Arfa twenty minutes later by closing the gap with a left cross strike that failed to echo despite the supply of fresh juvenile blood in a messy baroud.

Reims, who mostly turned their backs, managing the local assaults as best they could, only came out once and it scored thanks to Marshall Munetsi who deceived Benoit Costil with a strike countered by Maxime Poundjé (55th).

Or when nothing goes ...
