Berlin (dpa) - US singer Lana Del Rey (35) took part in a benefit concert for homeless young people from the LGBTQ community with a cover of the Christmas classic "Silent Night".

The annual “Talent Show” of the organization “The Ally Coalition”, in which well-known musicians sing for a good cause, was shown as a live stream this year because of the corona pandemic.

For her performance, Lana Del Rey sat in front of the Christmas tree in her living room.

Paramore front woman Hayley Williams (31) joined in for her cover of "Teardrop" (Massive Attack) in a bathrobe and towel turban.

As every year, the musician Jack Antonoff (36), one of the founders of the Ally Coalition, invited to the “Talent Show”.

The singer contributed a solo version of the song "This Is Me Trying", which he wrote and produced with and for Taylor Swift.

He later performed with his indie band Bleachers.

"The pandemic hit everyone hard," wrote Antonoff on Instagram, "but the communities we support here are disproportionately affected."

With the benefit concert, he said he was able to collect around $ 250,000 before it was broadcast on Monday (local time).
