Seoul Central District Court sentenced Professor Chung to four years in prison and a fine of 500 million won in a court sentence in the first trial by Professor Kyung-Shim Chung from 2 pm on the 23rd.
It also levied a surcharge of 138 million won.
The judiciary said that all charges related to the charges against Professor Jeong's entrance examination were admitted.
Regarding the citation of Tong Yang University, which was a key issue, Professor Jeong decided that the fact that he forged it was fully acknowledged.
The judge exclaimed, "In light of the bolder ways of committing crimes, the guilt is not very good," and said, "It is highly likely to be accused of causing negative consequences that lead to abandoning the beliefs and expectations our society had in the entrance examination system.
Regarding the allegations related to private equity, it was found that Professor Jeong borrowed his brother's account to make financial transactions and used undisclosed information in part.
However, I thought that the charges of embezzling the funds of the private equity manager Kolink PE were innocent.
The court also decided that the charge of the evidence concealment teacher was not guilty as Professor Jeong and the asset manager carried out some data regarding the alleged destruction of evidence.
Professor Jeong said that he would appeal immediately, saying it was embarrassing to the first trial decision.
