Aachen (dpa / lnw) - After a decision by the Administrative Court of Aachen, a nursing home is allowed to reject visitors if they refuse a quick test.

According to its own statements, the court granted an urgent application from a nursing home in Würselen on Wednesday.

With the application, the nursing home had turned against a regulation in the general decree "Care and visits" of the NRW Ministry of Health.

According to the court, in contrast to the version that was valid until December 20, the regulation provides that a visitor who refuses a corona rapid test may not be refused a visit.

The nursing home from Würselen claimed that, according to the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute, mandatory testing for visitors to a nursing home was expressly recommended.

If this is not done, it will lead to a massive deterioration in the protection against infection in the care facility.

The administrative court followed this argument.

It is not understandable why the facility managers are expressly authorized to forbid visiting the home if a brief screening for cold symptoms is refused, but this should not apply if the rapid test is refused.
