Oberhausen (dpa / lnw) - 45 local radio stations in North Rhine-Westphalia collected around 1.2 million euros in donations for the Lichtblicke campaign on Wednesday.
Compared to the previous year, the sum is 400,000 euros higher, as announced by Radio NRW.
It is a record result.
According to the organizers, people in North Rhine-Westphalia would stick together, especially in times of Corona.
A total of 2.2 million euros have been raised in the past few months.
The money goes to children and families from NRW in need.
Celebrities like the musicians Milow and Rea Garvey also supported the campaign.
