Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) - A 73-year-old woman was hit by an approaching bus at a bus stop in Mönchengladbach on Wednesday, dragged along and seriously injured.
As the police announced, the woman had initially tried in vain to get in the back.
Then she went to the front bus entrance and knocked on the door.
The bus started at that moment and hit the woman.
She fell and the bus ran over her feet.
According to the police, passengers made the bus driver aware of the accident.
He told officers that he did not notice the woman's knocking or the accident.
