Since the corona pandemic came to Sweden, many have had to adjust and spend more time at home.

According to Tania Karanja, this may be a reason why fewer girls seek help from them.

- The search pressure on our chat has decreased by 13 percent compared to last year, she says.

Sexual violence has increased

The most common girls seek help for are love problems, skewed body ideals and mental illness.

But by love problems is also meant sexual violence, where Tania Karanja says that they noticed an increase compared to before the pandemic.

Distance learning can also make it more difficult for young girls to talk to their friends about their problems, as social contacts decrease.

In the clip above, you hear Tania Karanja talk about how she experiences young girls' situation during the corona pandemic.
