Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi revealed part of the details of his visit to Turkey last week at a press conference he held late last night, in the presence of ministers and security leaders.

Al-Kazemi said that Turkey is ready to spend a grant of $ 5 billion that it had granted to Iraq at the Kuwait Reconstruction Conference, referring to the great reception that he received in Turkey, describing it as a reception befitting Iraq.

The Iraqi Prime Minister expressed his surprise at the focus on the movement to amend his shirt by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying, "Yes, the Turkish President is my friend, an old friend and modified my shirt, what is the problem?"

Erdogan is my friend and he adjusted my shirt collar.

But I promised five billion dollars a Turkish grant to Iraq, in fulfillment of Ankara's pledges at the Kuwait Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq.

Erdogan appeared in a video clip that caused controversy while adjusting the collar of the Iraqi Prime Minister's shirt during his visit to Ankara, which took place last Thursday.

The cameras that covered the reception ceremony for Al-Kazemi detected the moment he got off the car, and Erdogan greeted him and exchanged greetings between them, but the Turkish president quickly extended his hand and arranged the collar of Al-Kazemi's shirt.

The incident sparked mixed reactions on social media in Iraq, between those who considered it a nice and kind of friendly gesture, and those who saw in it a break of the presidential protocol, and the host rarely modified the guest's clothes, while others went further and considered it a political message.

Al-Kazemi visited Ankara last Thursday at the head of a high-ranking government delegation, and met with the Turkish President and discussed with him the development of areas of joint cooperation in various fields.

During the visit, a number of bilateral agreements were signed between the two countries.
