The draft General State Budget Law of 2021 has been definitively approved this Tuesday after obtaining the endorsement of the Plenary of the Senate without any amendments being incorporated in the Upper House.
The Senate has approved the text of the Budget by 145 votes in favor, 118 against and 2 abstentions without incorporating any of the more than 3,500 amendments presented by the groups, so it will not have to return to Congress.
The accounts thus close their parliamentary processing in less than two months after obtaining the support of a dozen parties: PSOE, United We Can, PNV, ERC, Bildu, PDeCAT, Compromís, Más País, Nueva Canarias, Teruel Existe, Cantabrian Regionalist Party and Aragonese Party.
The Budget will come into force on January 1, 2021, when it will replace the 2018 accounts, prepared by the PP Government and which have been extended twice.
