In order for the City of Landskrona's elderly to get a Christmas feeling despite the corona pandemic, the care administration's so-called “Together Group” has arranged Christmas markets in small formats at homes in the municipality.

The elderly had the opportunity to buy Christmas items, pet horses that came to visit and listen to Christmas carols.

- It's great fun, says Stig Söderquist, 83 years old.

Different Christmas Eve

In the city of Landskrona, a restraining order has been introduced due to the high spread of infection.

This year, therefore, Christmas Eve will be somewhat different than usual.

- We will have a special Christmas dinner with the staff and we will film and facetima so that relatives have an opportunity to be a little involved in any case, says Ingrid Linge Bergström, unit manager Suellstatan's nursing home.

At Suellsgatan's nursing home, the elderly live with dementia and the past year has been tough for both residents and relatives.

- It has been tough for many.

You want to meet your loved ones and be able to give a good Christmas this year as well and we try to do what we can under the conditions, says Ingrid Linge Bergström.
