The crisis management in Bräcke had a meeting on Tuesday where it was decided on further measures.

Municipal sports halls and bathhouses that can be booked by private individuals are closed immediately.

The youth centers and the family center are closed.

All until January 24.

Bräcke had also applied to the Swedish Public Health Agency for an extension of the restraining order on special accommodation.

Today came the news that it is possible.

No visits are allowed from now until January 12.

Libraries do not close

The libraries will remain open despite the Public Health Authority's call for closure.

The municipality considers that they constitute a socially important activity.

- Libraries fulfill many functions, and both in everyday life and in crisis it is a socially important activity. For many people, that short visit with a few book loans is a lifeline in the December darkness, writes Bräcke's cultural director Anna Lundström in a press release.
