"The government has decided to ask for the recall of two Russian diplomats accredited in Colombia, since the audit confirmed that they are carrying out activities in the country that are incompatible with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the statement said.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry noted that, “despite these circumstances, Colombia is aimed at maintaining the good level at which diplomatic, trade and partnership relations with Russia are traditionally located”.
In May 2019, the Colombian authorities and the Russian embassy presented a postage stamp in honor of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Colombia and Russia.
