The Israeli Arab lawmaker in the Knesset, Sami Abu Shehadeh, rebuked two Emirati officials who visited the Knesset today, Tuesday, and later participated in the Parliamentary Economic Committee meeting via video technology, and the meeting dealt with what is known as "the public's profits from gas."

"Are you aware of what you are doing? Or do you not understand the rationale for the normalization speech?" Abu Shehadeh said, addressing the Emirati delegation.

"It is clear that there will be many problems, but morals play a role. Even if there are certain economic dimensions, morals remain the basis," he added, "If you are not ashamed, do whatever you want."

He explained that he wanted to alert the Emirati official to the extent of the seriousness of the situation.

He said that any agreement with the occupying power is illegal and criminal according to international law.

Abu Shehadeh concluded by saying, "A defect, it is said in Arabic, this is a defect."

Against this background, Abu Shehadeh was removed from the session on the orders of its chairperson.
