21 December 2020The alarm for the new English variant of Covid-19 has prompted more and more countries around the world to suspend travel to and from the United Kingdom.
Here is the list of states that have temporarily isolated Great Britain to prevent the spread of the contagious virus mutation at home.
Italy
: stop to flights from Great Britain and no entry for people who have stayed or passed through in the last 14 days
Anyone in Italy who has recently traveled to the UK must undergo testing.
Spain
and
Portugal
: flights from the UK suspended, with Madrid allowing only its citizens or residents to return from Great Britain.
France
: all travel from Great Britain suspended for 48 hours from midnight on Sunday.
The directive applies "to all movements of persons, including those related to the transport of goods, by road, air, sea and rail from the United Kingdom".
India
: all flights from the UK suspended from Sunday midnight to December 31st.
Mandatory tests for anyone arriving from Great Britain on transit flights.
Poland
: flights from the UK banned from midnight on Sunday.
Russia
: UK flights suspended for one week.
Hong Kong
: The former British colony bans all UK flights arriving after midnight on Sunday and extends the quarantine of passengers arriving from Britain in the past two weeks.
Germany
: air connections with the UK were interrupted from midnight on Sunday, with the ban expected until 31 December.
Cargo flights are exempt.
Netherlands
: All passenger flights from Great Britain are prohibited until January 1st.

Kuwait added Britain to a list of "high risk" nations and banned flights to and from the country.
Africa
Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia ban flights from Great Britain, with Algeria also halting the repatriation of its citizens
Latin America
Along with Argentina and Colombia, Peru, Chile and El Salvador also suspend flights to the UK.
