The American authorities announced that they are monitoring "very carefully" the new strain of the emerging corona virus that is spreading in the United Kingdom, but they are not planning to impose a travel ban to this country at the present time, according to what senior officials in the health sector announced.
The senior advisor for the government vaccination program in the United States, Moncef Al-Salawi, confirmed to "CNN", that at the present time it does not appear that there is any strain of the virus that is resistant to available vaccines.
He explained that US officials "do not yet know whether this new strain of the virus is present in the United States."
Al-Slaoui added: "I think that this particular strain in the United Kingdom is unlikely to escape the immune response provided by the vaccine."

A group of American experts agreed with recommendations to vaccinate new groups of people from the age of 75 and over, as well as 30 million other people working on the front lines, including teachers, grocery workers and police.
About eight million additional doses of vaccines will be delivered Monday across the United States: 2 million Pfizer / Bionic vaccines and 5.9 million from Moderna, which received the green light from health authorities last Friday.
