The miracle happens during an ordinary preventive examination: on the treatment chair at the gynecologist's office, the woman's heart suddenly stops working.

At the same moment she sees how she leaves her own body and rises towards the ceiling.

She sees the arms of the lifeless figure below her slide off the back of the arm, as they sag down.

Then she flies away to a North Sea beach and sees her son there who is painting a picture. And feels a deep, inner peace.

After a minute and a half, the practice staff brings the woman back to life. The family still remembers their mother's cardiac arrest with horror; for them it is a mystical experience. Three days later, she received the exact picture of her son by post that she - dead by medical standards - saw in front of her.
