A US delegation led by Jared Kushner, a senior adviser to US President Donald Trump, will arrive in Israel on Monday, where it will hold meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials.
It is expected that the American delegation will accompany an Israeli delegation led by the President of the National Security Council Meir Ben Shabat to Morocco tomorrow, on a direct flight, the first since the announcement of the resumption of relations between Tel Aviv and Rabat two weeks ago.
Sources in Tel Aviv said that the two delegations would sign agreements to normalize relations between Tel Aviv and Rabat in several areas of cooperation.
The US delegation that will arrive in Israel includes the special envoy for the Middle East, Avi Berkowitz, in addition to other senior officials who have been working on progress in achieving normalization agreements between Israel and Arab countries.
The Israeli airline "El Al" plans to operate a direct flight to the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on Tuesday, which will be the first since the announcement of the resumption of relations between the two countries two weeks ago.
There was no official Moroccan announcement regarding that trip, but the Kingdom announced, on Thursday, that it “decided to start downloading and activating procedures for resuming flights and contacts with the Israeli side,” without specifying a date for that.

The Israeli Channel Seven (privately) said, "The flags of Israel, Morocco and the United States will be placed on the plane, in addition to the word (peace) in Hebrew, Arabic and English."
She added that "an American delegation and another Israeli delegation will be on the flight from Tel Aviv to Rabat."
It is expected that Jared Kushner will lead the US delegation, while the Israeli delegation will be headed by the Chairman of the National Security Council, Meir Ben Shabat, according to the channel.
And on December 10, two Israeli airlines, including El Al, the largest in Israel, announced that they were ready to operate direct flights between Tel Aviv and Morocco.
This came after Trump announced, on the same day, that Morocco and Israel agreed to normalize relations between them.
But Rabat says that the matter is not normalization, but rather a resumption of relations.

Tuesday's trip will not be the first between the two countries, as Rabat and Tel Aviv used to have low-level diplomatic relations, which Morocco froze in the wake of the outbreak of the second Palestinian uprising (Al-Aqsa Intifada) in 2000.
And by announcing that Morocco would resume its diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv, it would become the only Maghreb country to have relations with Israel, after Mauritania cut ties with Tel Aviv in 2010.
