Imprisonment and deportation for a woman who assaulted a police patrol

The Dubai Criminal Court has ruled a three-month prison sentence and deportation for an unemployed (Arab - 34-year-old), who nearly collided with a Dubai Police patrol, for driving an electric “scooter” against traffic in the Al Nahda area.

When the patrol stopped her and the policeman asked her for her ID card, she transgressed him by saying, so a female police sergeant was called, but the accused pushed her, to turn her bypassing it into a felony of resistance and assaulting a public employee, and she was arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution in Dubai, and from there to the Criminal Court, which started her trial .

A proof witness from Dubai Police said that he and his colleague in a police patrol were at his work, wandering around the jurisdiction of Al Qusais Police Station, specifically on Amman Street, when he was surprised by the arrival of an electric bicycle against the direction of traffic, and he almost hit her with the patrol, but he avoided it, pointing out that they had stopped the woman The one who is driving the bike, and asked her for her identity, but she refused.

He added that he told her that he would take legal action against her and confiscate the bike, and refer it to the competent authorities for not showing the ID. With the duty officer who sent him a female police officer.

For her part, a female police sergeant said that she went to the scene of the incident to arrest the accused as a woman, as a result of wrongly driving an electric bike, and her refusal to respond to orders, and I saw her having a heated discussion with her two colleagues, so she asked her to ride the patrol quietly.

She added that the defendant responded and was transferred to Al-Qusais Police Station, and her statement was recorded, then an arrest warrant was issued in her name to be presented to the Public Prosecution, noting that she was assigned to take her to arrest, and on the way, the accused sat, the policemen, and resisted her with her hands.

The accused drove a "scooter" against the direction of traffic.
