The 57-year-old was found dead in his home in Glava near Arvika on 22 November.

At first, no crime was suspected, but after the autopsy, injuries were discovered that gave the police reason to believe the man had been subjected to violence.

According to the police, the two men were acquainted with each other.

The detainee has previously been unpunished while the deceased has previously been known to the police.

Technical and forensic examinations have been performed and the analysis of these has not yet been completed, but it is the results of what has emerged so far from examinations and interrogations that mean that the 60-year-old has now been arrested.

During the day, an interrogation will be held with the suspected perpetrator.
