Otterbach (dpa / lrs) - A 19-year-old walker pulled a 78-year-old from the train tracks and thus saved his life.
As the police announced on Monday, the 19-year-old had warned the senior several times on Sunday of an approaching train on the tracks in Otterbach (Kaiserslautern district).
However, the 78-year-old made no move to get off the track.
The man looked confused.
According to the information, the 19-year-old led the man from the tracks and informed the police.
As it turned out, the 78-year-old suffers from dementia.
He had left home unnoticed by his family.
