In the United States, senators worked late into the night to finally come to a compromise.
After months and months of negotiations and days of deadlock, Republicans have made it known they are ready to accept the terms of the deal.
They ultimately give up their desire to limit the Federal Reserve's lending powers.
This point scandalized Democrats, who saw it as an attempt by Republicans to limit the freedom of maneuver of the Biden administration.
A much awaited help
The text should therefore now pass to the House of Representatives dominated by Democrats and the Senate held by Republicans.
The vote could take place by midnight on December 20.
The plan provides for $ 900 billion.
This help is eagerly awaited as the country sinks deeper into the economic crisis every day, whether
through millions of unemployed people at the end of their rights
, thousands of restaurants and small shops, but also schools, health centers, millions of families in arrears on their rent or loan repayments.
Everyone is counting on this financial aid.
Especially since the winter promises to be complicated with a second wave of contaminations which continues to spread and new restrictive measures.
