Ellerbek (dpa / lno) - A car hit a tree in Ellerbek (Pinneberg district), the driver was seriously injured.
The man was coming from Bönningstedt early on Sunday morning on Rugenbergener Strasse in Ellerbek when his car turned left off the street, said a police spokesman.
The car hit the tree shortly after entering the town.
Rescue workers freed the driver from his car.
According to initial findings, the police assume that the driver was driving too fast and was drunk.
The officials initially did not provide any further details about the person.
