US FDA second vaccine urgent use allowed Moderna development

On the 18th, the US FDA = Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use permit for a new coronavirus vaccine developed by the American pharmaceutical company Moderna.

This is the second emergency license for a vaccine in the United States, following that of Pfizer, a major pharmaceutical company.

Government officials say Moderna's vaccine is expected to begin shipping soon.
