US President Donald Trump said, "Joe Biden did not win the elections, and that he lost 6 swing states by a large margin before fraud occurred."

Trump added, in a tweet on his Twitter account, that they "canceled hundreds of thousands of votes in each of these states, and that they have been seized," referring to the Democrats.

"Republican politicians must fight a battle so that their victory is not stolen, and that they should not be foolish and weak," he said.

In a related context, the "Washington Post" newspaper said, "The senior staff of the Trump administration have started planning for their future, implicitly admitting his defeat in the elections."

The newspaper added that Vice President Mike Pence is looking for a house in the vicinity of Washington, and is planning a foreign farewell tour, which begins on the day when Congress prepares the electoral college votes on the sixth of next month.

The newspaper revealed that White House chief of staff Mark Meadows discussed with his allies and aides the establishment of a consulting firm, while economic advisor Larry Cadlow told his friends that he would return to his radio programs.

The newspaper added that the atmosphere in the White House indicates the approaching end of the past era, while Trump is still sticking to his opinion on the election results.

Crisis Briefings

While Trump continues to deny the results, a spokeswoman for President-elect Joe Biden's transition team denied that there was any agreement with the Pentagon to postpone the transition process and receive confidential briefings until after the holidays, and stressed the need to continue.

Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller said, "The Pentagon has not canceled or refused to hold any meeting with Biden's transition team at any time."

Miller emphasized that the Defense Department will continue to provide all forms of support to the Biden team in order to ensure the country's security.

He explained that the ministry and Biden's team agreed on a holiday leave that begins today, Saturday, noting that about 20 meetings with 40 officials will be postponed until after the first of next January.
