More than 1,000 imported cases of new coronary pneumonia in Shanghai discharged from hospital to benefit from cluster treatment

China News Online, December 19th (Reporter Chen Jing) The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission disclosed on the 19th: 10 cases of new coronavirus pneumonia were meticulously diagnosed and treated by medical staff in designated medical institutions. The expert group considered that they were in line with national health. The Health Commission’s latest discharge standards for confirmed cases of new coronavirus pneumonia were discharged today.

As of that day, Shanghai has accumulated over a thousand imported discharged cases from overseas.

According to the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, the Shanghai New Coronary Pneumonia Medical Treatment Team has established an effective clinical treatment plan and a mature medical treatment management system for the treatment of new coronary pneumonia for imported patients from abroad.

Based on the summary of pre-clinical diagnosis and treatment, the doctors adopted a combination of hormones, vitamin C, heparin, interferon, and thymosin, namely "tetralin-peptide", to effectively block the progress of severe disease.

Through the application of this clustered treatment plan, many imported cases with severe risk factors have prevented them from developing into severe illness.

Chen Erzhen, deputy dean of Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, Zhong Ming, deputy director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, and other medical team experts who previously supported Wuhan's anti-epidemic have entered the Shanghai medical treatment expert group, further enhancing clinical treatment capabilities.

Of the 10 confirmed cases discharged from hospital, 2 were foreign nationals and 8 were Chinese nationals. The youngest was only 10 years old.

The conditions are all mild or common. During the hospitalization period, he was given treatment measures such as anti-infection, traditional Chinese medicine, enhanced nutrition, and symptomatic supportive treatment. He is now cured and discharged.
