The Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, already winner of the super-G on Friday, did it again on Saturday in the descent of Val Gardena, at the same time regaining the lead in the general classification of the World Cup.

The defending champion of the big globe of alpine skiing, which confirms the control of the Norwegians on the Saslong slope, signed his sixth victory in the World Cup, half of which was acquired on the Italian slope since he had also won the descent in 2018.

Kilde edged the unexpected American Ryan Cochran-Siegle by 22 hundredths, who claimed his first World Cup podium in 99 races.

The Swiss Beat Feuz, winner of the small globe of the specialty last season, takes third place at 54 hundredths.

The first Frenchman, Nils Allègre, finished more than a second behind the winner, in 11th place.

In the general classification of the World Cup, Kilde takes the lead (335 pts) ahead of the Swiss Marco Odermatt (290 pts) and the French Alexis Pinturault (276 pts), who did not take part in the descent of Val Gardena.
