Berlin (AP) - FC Schalke 04 does not come out of the deep crisis with Huub Stevens.

The Royal Blues, without a win since mid-January, who parted ways with Manuel Baum and “coach of the century” Stevens for two games on Friday, lost the relegation thriller against Arminia Bielefeld with 0: 1 (0: 0) and remain last in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig missed taking over the table lead before the top game in the evening (6.30 p.m. / Sky) between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

The Saxons played 0-0 against 1. FC Köln.

Borussia Mönchengladbach missed another win after taking the lead and even lost 2-1 (1-0) against TSG Hoffenheim.

The penultimate FSV Mainz 05 conceded a bitter 0: 1 (0: 0) defeat after conceding a late goal against Werder Bremen.

In the secured middle of the table, Eintracht Frankfurt won 2-0 (0-0) at FC Augsburg.

"It doesn't work without fun," Stevens had said shortly before the kick-off at Sky.

Schalke continued to have a hard time.

Omar Mascarell had to be replaced injured in the 15th minute.

It remained a fighting game in which the Schalke uncertainty was clearly visible - the goal conceded by Fabian Klos (53rd) increased it all the more.

Cologne initially held against it well in Leipzig, but also made mistakes.

Among other things, Angeliño could have taken the Leipzig lead twice (33rd and 36th).

The FC kept the game exciting until the final phase, Leipzig did not use its chances.

Mönchengladbach and Hoffenheim started with a lot of speed.

Lars Stindl (34th) scored the Gladbach lead with a penalty kick.

Hoffenheim's Andrej Kramaric hit the post (36th) and equalized in the second half (75th).

Gladbach's Marcus Thuram saw the red card (79th) after spat at Stefan Posch.

Ryan Sessegnon (86th) punished Borussia's passive style of play in the second half.

It took FSV Mainz 05 a long time to arrive in the hugely important game against Bremen.

Edimilson Fernandes fired the first Mainz shot on goal in the 30th minute after 120 minutes of Bundesliga lull.

Jiri Pavlenka was able to fend off.

Both teams were very keen on a compact defense, Eren Dinkci (90th) scored the decisive goal.

Augsburg and Frankfurt delivered a pretty lively game to the Bundesliga final year - with clear advantages for the Hessians.

Augsburg's Raphael Framberger (53rd) scored the Frankfurt lead with an own goal, Stefan Ilsanker (87th) made everything clear.
